About Stork Childbirth Education

Stork Childbirth Education founders, Lauren and Flynn, have worked together in private practice for over five years. Prior to that they were both labor and delivery nurses at Sibley Memorial Hospital helping to deliver the newest babies of Washington, D.C. While seeing expectant parents as patients, they saw the need for better childbirth education. Parents were noting that they did not get the guidance they wanted from the local classes and they trusted their providers to help guide them through pregnancy. Wanting to serve their new parents better, Stork Childbirth Education was created to meet this need and to give new parents confidence in the upcoming birth of their child. Collectively with almost a decade and a half of experience in the medical field, as well as being full time mothers themselves, they know the unique needs of the new family. Having Lauren and Flynn’s years of expertise in the women’ health world, they have formed an invaluable resource list for all your women’s health needs. It is their hope that they can serve you better by connecting you with the education needed and potential resources to have a fulfilling pregnancy and postpartum period. Knowing the experts in lactation. pediatrics, obstetrics, maternal fetal medicine, prenatal yoga and more, they feel equipped to get you the answers to all your pregnancy questions. With the help of Stork Childbirth Education classes, you can navigate pregnancy, postpartum and your newborn’s first few weeks comfortably and feel empowered with evidence based prenatal education to help you embrace parenthood.
