The ideal time to take a class is between 28-36 weeks. However we welcome

you to join us at any stage during your pregnancy or postpartum period.

Childbirth Education

3 Hours with a registered nurse practicing in Labor and Delivery
$165 per Couple

 A must-have for all new parents! In this live Zoom led class, you will be educated on topics ranging from end of pregnancy through the immediate postpartum period. Our board certified labor and delivery nurses can answer all your questions related to your hospital stay and COVID 19 preparation. Some of the themes we discuss include preparation and expectation for a hospital birth; signs of labor; stages of labor; pain medication options (including epidurals) as well as suggestions for things to do in each stage of labor to cope with contractions; possible interventions in labor including inductions, monitoring and cesarean sections. Class concludes with postpartum concerns and resources to help when the baby arrives. All clients will receive our Stork Childbirth Education Survival Guide complete with a hospital packing list, when to call your health care provider, recommended pediatricians, lactation consultant and doula referrals.

Baby Care and Infant CPR

3 Hours with an expert registered nurse or nurse practitioner in Pediatrics
$165 per Couple

The most comprehensive new parent class is perfect for those expecting their first child as well as for grandparents, nannies, or others who will be involved in the care of your infant. In this live Zoom led class you will be educated on the care of a normal newborn, as well as learn what is expected in those first few weeks of life. Topics discussed include feeding, sleeping, diapering, swaddling and bathing with demonstrations. The first half of the class is seated, followed by demonstration and practice of the learned techniques and ending with American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR and choking lessons. All clients will receive our Stork Childbirth Education Baby Guide complete with a pediatrician referral list, when to call your pediatrician, lactation services, newborn care specialists and  resource lists of what to read up on for your new baby.

Breastfeeding

2 Hours with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
$95 per Couple

A class for any mom or partner interested in learning more about breastfeeding. Topics discussed include the importance of supply and demand as well as the physiology of milk production; how to breastfeed and common positions for breastfeeding; proper latch; how to be sure baby is getting enough milk; common issues in breastfeeding and how to overcome them; and returning to work and pumping. All clients will receive our Stork Lactation Guide complete with a lactation consultant referral list, breast pump order instructions and lactation resources.

Baby Boot camp

5.5 hours held on Saturdays 9:30-3 pm. Two instructors, Infant CPR video included for self study. 
$240 per Couple

This comprehensive live Zoom class combines the two topics parents are most excited to learn. In just one day, you will learn both childbirth education and baby care with infant CPR. Childbirth education includes preparation and expectation for a hospital birth; signs of labor; stages of labor; pain medication options (including epidurals) as well as suggestions for things to do in each stage of labor to cope with contractions; possible interventions in labor including inductions, monitoring and cesarean sections. After your lunch break, we will delve into our popular Baby Care and CPR skills class. You will be educated on the care of a normal newborn, as well as learn what is expected in those first few weeks of life. Topics discussed include feeding, sleeping, diapering, swaddling and bathing with demonstrations. Learning is lecture style with PowerPoint, followed by demonstration of the learned techniques and ending with American Heart Association Friends and Family infant CPR and choking lessons. Attendees will also have access to our Stork Survival guides for each class type with with highlights from each class, pediatrician referral list, when to call your pediatrician, lactation services, newborn care specialists and resource lists of what to read up on for your new baby.

Weekend Boot Camp
Cancellation Policy

If you are unable or decide not to attend your class for any reason, there are few things you need to know. It is imperative that you notify us immediately because if you cancel within 7 days of your class date you will receive a 50% refund. However, if you cancel more than 7 days before your scheduled class, you will receive a full refund. Finally, if you opt to reschedule your class, there is a rescheduling fee of $25. There is a $50 rescheduling fee for same day cancellations, as you will have prevented another family from joining class.
